Due to recent flooding events Portage County has issued several public notifications. If damage is sustained to private businesses or residences, the most important thing is to document and take pictures of the damage. Next, contact your home or business insurance carrier to report the damage. Please call 211 to report damage as well. At this time Portage County has not met the qualifications to meet Federal Individual Assistance for residential damages.

Construction on Business 51 (Post Road) within the Village of Whiting has conclued for 2018. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation hopes to resume construction as soon as the weather will permit in 2019.
