The seasonal compost site is located at the end of Strange Street, located next to the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Hours of Operation for 2025
The municipal compost site will open on April 9th, 2025, and will be closing on November 19th, 2025. Please bring the compost site card that was included with your April bill. Contact the office if you did not receive one or are a new resident. The compost hours are listed below. The Public Works and Parks Committee reserves the right to adjust the schedule based on seasonal demands. Please visit this webpage to view any seasonal adjustments that are made.
Compost site is closed on Sundays and holidays.
Weather and site conditions may affect the compost site schedule and opening/closing dates.
Items Accepted at Compost
Grass, Leaves & Branches up to 6" diameter are accepted.
Stumps/roots, garbage and recyclable materials are NOT accepted.
Please cover trailers to avoid losing yard waste!
Please keep sticks and branches separate from grass and leaves.
Finished Compost and Wood Chips (when available) are provided free of charge to Village Residents.
